The place to discuss live performances from Elbow – and other bands.
I’ve got a new ‘All-time favourite Elbow gig’. Last night’s performance with the Halle was stunning. I’m not sure anything will ever top that!
The Halle last week has thrown me into disarray, but I would have to say for me it is a toss up between the SSK first airing at The Blueprint Studios last year or the first time I ever heard the songs from The Noisebox EP some time around 1998 at a little known (until the Audience With!) venue called Down Under. I don’t know how many performances I’ve seen since (6 in the last 18 months!) but I reckon it must be close to 80! I fear I may be a stalker….
Little Noise Sessions in Hackney was very intimate and a great gig – also last night of Seldom Seen Kid Tour at MEN Arena was awesome – unable to get to Halle gigs and Manchester Cathedral which would have been brilliant but looking forward to Jodrell bank and then Rockin Park in Holland in June – Brussels was brilliant too – I guess the best Elbow gig will always be the last one you went to !!
SO looking forward to Jodrell Bank as I will be a newbie at an Elbow gig. Haven’t been to such an event before, despite being advanced in years (but a kid at heart). Tried to get tickets to Glasto last year and then the BBC gig at Manchester Cathedral – for some reason Elbow are very popular!!!!
Manc Arena on Dec 1st last year. 5th time seeing them, and I got to sing Weather To Fly with Guy. One of the best nights of my life.
my favourite Elbow concert was in Haarlem, Patronaat 2008 Guy’s singing this evening was ecceptional. They opened with Starlings in a superbed way. The Bones Of You,Newborn,Station Approach and closer Scattered Black and Whites were the highlights for me.
